371 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Granular Synthesis"

Looking at the spectrogram waveform display of https://freesound. Org/people/ivolipa/sounds/344948/ i noticed a few patterns. Distinct bands of high volume at around ~600hz, ~1200hz, ~1800hz, the fade in volume toward higher frequencies, a ubiquitous noise, and the soft staccato rhythm. Using these facts, i tried to make yet another engine sound with fm-synthesis. Sound forge 7 — to my knowledge — lacking a spectrogram, i've no clue if this was a successful attempt, but it does have a vaguely engine-like sound.

A synthetic bass multisample. I created it using the virsyn cube additive synthesizer (vsti). I applied some eq using the sonalksis sv-517 equalizer plugin. The sound was compressed by the sonalksis sv-315 and nomad factory blue tubes cp2s compressor plugins. All great quality plugs. The sound is a nice but rather static emulation of a bass guitar. Use your sampler's velocity and pitch bending options to bring this multisample to life. All samples in a 24 bit, 44. 1 khz resolution. Loop points were added for sustained notes.

This is a drum sound i've synthesized using the great free (gpl) synthesizer zynaddsubfx. Arranged and rendered to 32-bit float wav @ 192khz using lmms (linux multimedia studio) - electronic music production program. Divided into separate files and converted to 24-bit flac using audacity. This delta binaural beats is exactly 2hz apart and loop perfectly at 30s. Set at the low base frequency of 40hz and 42hz, it's a relaxing hum.

This is a sine-wave that sweeps from low to high. Cassette emulator is added and some reverb. A long high pitched tail is at the end, which i forgot to remove. Inspired by the film "wavelength" by michael snow.

In fact, this is the sound of the forest, which was recorded in the gagarin park in chelyabinsk, under the influence of many effects it became similar to this sound.

This is a recording of a vitamin c tablet dissolving in a cup of water. Recorded with an edirol r-o9 and a nice hydrophone. By lifting the hydrophone in and out of the water some very nice filtering effects where created. This sound has many applications for sound design!.

Same patch as in electronic minute no 226 and 227 but on my real modular. I'm using a filter. Thats why i call this version subtractive. I'm subtracting harmonics from a square wave. Why are 226 blue? probably because i did it at work. . . Listening in bad earbuds. Makes you rise the bass. Lets see if i can make this wave ble at the end! i will slowly fade out the vco with high pitch. At the very end i'm switching the synth off.

This sound took me a while i used warehouse machinery at the beginning as the gun is turning to its target and when it finished with an alarm and light sound indicating its powering. The charge & fire sound is all synthesis layered several sounds on top with each other also using eq, compressor ect.

I've used a km 185 with a nagra lb to record those small sounds. 88. 2khz 24 bit mono.

This is a "happy birthday to you" rendition to celebrate the 15th freesound birthday (april 5th 2020). The sound has been made by researchers of the music technology group of universitat pompeu fabra (i. E. Where freesound happens!), and voctrolabs.
